overview
The tale of the sea king’s daughter Ariel is a beloved one of losing―and then finding―one’s own voice.

The story has been told many times and in many ways. But always the mergirl wants more than her world can offer, and her father demands that she live within the confines of his domain. Her rebelliousness costs the little mermaid her voice and nearly her soul. But the power of good prevails, and Ariel emerges proud and unchanged.

This is the third book in the Villains series. I felt that this was a good take on Ursula’s point of view of things and why she became “evil”. It was quite interesting to read. I found this one to not just focus on Ursula though, it seemed to have a focus on The Odd Sisters as well.

I thoroughly enjoy reading scenes about the Odd sisters. It seems that they will be recurring characters in all the books and I honestly can’t wait to read their dedicated book. They were the highlight of this story for the most part, because the rest was kind of bland for me.

Overall this book went well the the original story and of course I will be continuing the series.

My Rating:
